Job Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to the overall positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers and assist them with their inquiries
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with precision
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Promote sales by suggesting additional products or services
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
- Proficiency in English language
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Strong sales skills to upsell products
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills for calculating totals and providing change
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
