Senior accounting team member supporting the CFO and management team, while performing higher level accounting functions.

Job Duties
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including working papers, accruals, and journal entries.
- Perform variance analysis on internal financial statements.
- Oversee issuing of checks / payment of invoices.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and reports on a timely basis, including:
- Bank and Visa reconciliations
- Intercompany reconciliations
- WIP reconciliations
- Job cost reports.
- Fixed Asset and Capital Lease schedules.
- Commission calculations.
- Process timely government filings of GST, payroll remittance and corporate tax.
- Provide management with ad hoc reports and respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders about projects, documentation, and financials.
- Project profitability reporting.
- Other related duties and required or assigned.
Requirements
- CPA Designation
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the construction or insurance industry
- Experience with system/software upgrades would be an asset
Working Conditions
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required.
