Senior Data Analyst, Data & Information Management (TDIM)

The TDIM team at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is a growing group of “data ninjas” who leverage their expertise in data technology, data science and business to drive efficiencies across the market groups and to shine light on the value that exists within the data stored across (and external to) the organization. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on a dynamic set of data problems that combine a variety of your existing data and technical skills with a demand for new skills and a focus on learning the business of real estate. This position will leverage your Data and Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities to help us accelerate our impact to the business. We are seeking candidates that are self-starters who can work in a diverse and fast-paced environment. The ideal person will be comfortable in (1) the process of individual contribution i.e. digging into the data for value extraction, and (2) working with senior business representatives and (3) managing both technology and people through successful Data and/or BI projects.

Key Responsibilities
In the big picture, TDIM team members focus on (1) understanding the business needs related to data and data technology, (2) work on the identification and extraction of data from multiple data sources, (3) organize the efficient collection, connection and storage of relevant data, and (4) use data technology and BI tools to extract and deliver/present business value to JLL globally via reports, analytics and visualizations. This position will focus the BI elements of our team skill’s spectrum.

Here are some of the more detailed position responsibilities:
Consults with the various JLL business lines (Commercial Brokerage, Capital Markets, Project Development, Industrial Brokerage, Retail, etc.) to assess existing business processes and the associated data and system landscape.
Identifies business value-add opportunities with multi-functional colleagues and contributes to / leads the design & development of technical/data solutions to optimize/streamline BI within JLL Americas.
Generates BI content in the form of visualizations, dashboards, reports and analytic models to facilitate decision-making across the JLL business lines and within JLL internal functions e.g. Marketing, HR, Finance, Research, etc.
Independently develops, executes and monitors data and BI processes to support ad hoc data and information delivery for assigned projects.
Develops proficiency in multiple data management disciplines and tools to develop robust and scalable Data/BI solutions across the JLL America’s organizations.
Identifies and acquires new data sources, performs data discovery to understand data values and relationships, and develops prototype solutions to deliver immediate business value.
Develop documentation and communication materials to ensure accurate usage and interpretation of JLL data across JLL business lines and internal platform groups.
Grows into a Data/BI leader within the global company – both from a technology and human resources perspective.

Specific Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of work experience in the fields of BI, information science, data management and/or computer science.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science, business, or social science. Advanced degree (MSC or MBA preferred.)
Demonstrated experience with BI, data manipulation & data science tools and their application (Tableau, Informatica, Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, SSRS/Crystal Reports, R, API programming/connectivity, Hadoop, etc.)
Experience in managing onshore and/or offshore resources and/or projects is preferred but not required.
Exposure to and/or knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Apto, Microsoft Dynamics) is a bonus
Experience with data architecture, data integration/ETL, data warehousing, and/or BI deployed in a complex environment.
Interest in and capability to self-learn new software applications, APIs and programming languages.
Excellent technical, analytical and organizational skills. Project management skills desired.
Understanding of data and systems engineering concepts to effectively integrate and analyze data to develop actionable business information deliverables.
Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast paced environment.
Experience working in a diverse working environment and with people management skills within such an environment
Prepared to take on increasing responsibility and leadership for Data & BI projects and teams across JLL globally.
