Established in 1998, Gosal & Company is a boutique law firm exclusively practicing workers’ compensation (WorkSafeBC) law. Our collegial legal team welcomes applications for a dedicated and motivated lawyer to join our firm. Applicants available to start immediately will be given priority. This is an in-office role.

Our approach is team-based as all lawyers work together on client files and work closely with our hard-working legal administrative support staff.
As a boutique firm, Gosal & Company offers specialised mentorship and comprehensive training, provided by our experienced lawyers.
Remuneration: starting at $80,000 to $110,000 per year for up to 2-year calls. Starting at $110,000 per year for 3+ year calls.

Qualifications and requirements:
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia;
- Exceptional writing, analytical, legal research, and drafting skills;
- Critical reasoning;
- Confident and composed oral advocacy skills;
- Positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and revision of written submissions to the Review Division and the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (“WCAT”);
- Preparation for and conduct of daily client appointments;
- Maintaining effective professional communication with our valued clients by producing timely, succinct, and accurate detailed reporting letters;
- Thorough preparation (including drafting medical-legal report requests) and attendance before WCAT (videoconference hearings).
