The Sr. Financial Analyst reports to and takes direction from the Department Manager. The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst is to improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.

Works collaboratively with others to meet company objectives
Builds formal and informal relationships inside and outside the organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Invoices clients as well as answers any queries clients may have regarding invoicing or documentation
Experience supporting the management of project financials (budget, forecast, variance)
Analytical skills including the ability to; comprehend, analyze, and resolve complex business issues and present information in concise ways
Demonstrate ability to use database, spreadsheet and word processing software at an advanced level
Completes credit checks
Prepares reports for Financial Management Department
Creates monthly checklists for other finance teams to ensure all month end duties are complete
Generates and reconciles balance sheet expenses accounts
Assists payroll in administration and processing of the organization’s payroll activities
Enters new vendors and updates current vendors and clients
Re-allocates invoice coding when required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Post-secondary education is required
4 plus years of experience in a senior role
Must also have knowledge of full cycle accounting and ERP applications.
Knowledge of various accounting software’s
Advanced with excel
Enrollment or completion of CPA is an asset.
Compensation & Location
5 and 2 rotation some travel may be required
8 hour day shift
Located in Nisku, Alberta
