WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Manager, Meat to join our Food Centre located at 2132 Keating X Rd, Saanichton BC. This is a full-time position offering approximately 40 hours per week.

- Available to work any day of the week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A customer-focused leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and products
- Knowledgeable in meat operations, merchandising, inventory management, and food safety
- An experienced people leader who can recruit, coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing team
- Accountable and confident in making decisions that support operational and financial success
- Skilled at building positive working relationships and fostering a respectful, team-oriented culture
- Organized and able to effectively prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to maintaining high standards for quality, cleanliness and safety
- Able to stand for long periods and frequently lift, push and pull up to 80 lbs
- Able to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead the overall performance, operations, and success of the Meat Department
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience while promoting a customer-first culture
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to achieve department goals
- Manage Meat department sales, margins, labour, inventory, and shrink to meet financial targets
- Oversee ordering, receiving, merchandising, and product presentation to maximize sales and profitability.
- Maintain product quality, freshness, inventory levels, and food safety standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and operational performance.
- Ensure the department remains clean, safe, organized, and customer-ready at all times.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, regulatory, and company standards.
- Monitor department performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
- Ensure the department remains clean, safe, organized, and customer-ready at all times
- Partner with the Operations Manager, Food and other department leaders to support overall Food Centre success
WHAT WE OFFER
In addition to an annual salary of $68,000 – $100,000 with the starting wage based on experience, we offer a great benefits package that includes:
