Medical Office Assistant / Phlebotomist
Danton Medical Centre is seeking a compassionate, professional, and motivated Medical Office Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our growing healthcare team. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care every day.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage clinic communications.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments.
- Register patients and maintain accurate records in Accuro EMR.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and document vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels.
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection safely and accurately.
- Label and process specimens according to laboratory standards.
- Support physicians and healthcare providers with administrative and clinical tasks.
- Maintain examination rooms, ensure adequate supplies, and follow infection prevention and privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification from a Canadian-accredited institution (required).
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with Accuro EMR is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused.
