3PL Coordinator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented 3PL Coordinator to join our fast-paced transportation and logistics team in Woodstock, Ontario. This role is responsible for coordinating and brokering high-volume freight movements across Canada and the United States, while building strong relationships with carriers and customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with cross-border transportation, customs processes, bonded shipments, carrier negotiations, and brokering both FTL and LTL freight for dry van and flat deck equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Broker and manage domestic and cross-border freight shipments throughout Canada and the United States.
- Source, negotiate, and secure capacity with third-party carriers to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor FTL and LTL shipments for dry van and flat deck freight.
- Arrange and oversee bonded shipments and ensure compliance with all customs requirements.
- Work closely with customs brokers, carriers, and customers to facilitate smooth cross-border transactions.
- Maintaining inventory via excel sheets with strong detail to paperwork.
- Negotiate competitive carrier rates while maintaining service expectations and profitability.
- Track shipments proactively and provide timely updates to customers.
- Resolve service issues, delays, and exceptions with urgency and professionalism.
- Verify carrier qualifications, insurance, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate shipment documentation and data entry within the transportation management system.
- Ensure all freight moves are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or 3PL operations.
- Experience coordinating and brokering FTL and LTL freight.
- Strong understanding of cross-border transportation, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Experience handling bonded shipments and working with customs brokers.
- Proven ability to negotiate rates and manage carrier relationships.
- Knowledge of dry van and flat deck equipment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
