Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping and receiving, and operating heavy equipment. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and experience with warehouse management systems to ensure efficient and safe warehouse functions.
Duties
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker equipment
- Load and unload shipments utilizing heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery
- Operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts and crane operations, adhering to safety protocols
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control
- Assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse, including construction materials if applicable
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and warehouse areas to maintain safety standards
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean and orderly storage areas
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related construction environments preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other machinery
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the shift
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and inventory management
- Proven ability to operate order pickers and perform order picking efficiently
- Knowledge of construction or industrial environments is a plus
- Valid certification or training in heavy equipment operation is preferred
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines
