Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cashier functions, ensuring accurate cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and adherence to cash management procedures
- Lead and supervise team members to deliver outstanding customer service, including training new staff and providing ongoing coaching
- Manage merchandising activities by organizing product displays, pricing items correctly, and maintaining store presentation standards
- Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure stock levels meet customer demand while optimizing inventory turnover
- Implement sales strategies to boost retail sales and achieve store goals through effective communication and marketing initiatives
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Monitor store operations including scheduling, budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks to ensure efficiency and compliance
Requirements
- Proven supervising or team management experience within a retail environment
- Strong cashiering skills with expertise in POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail sales techniques
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities such as recruiting, training & development, and payroll processing
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff and managing store operations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, inventory control, and administrative tasks
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
