Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful execution of mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, financial management and problem solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage large scale mechanical construction projects
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, procurement, execution and closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, labour forecasts and cost controls
- Manage project financials including progress billings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Coordinate project activities with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal team members
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal design and fabrication team
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Manage change orders, RFI’s, submittals and project documentation
- Monitor labour productivity and resource allocation to maximize project performance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and quality standards
- Mentor and support project coordinators, site supervisors and field staff
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management. Preferably in the mechanical contracting industry
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal and mechanical systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documents
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required
Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
