Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to restaurant standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering functions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing guest needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Assist with food handling duties, including proper storage, portioning, and preparation techniques.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Support team members in various restaurant operations as needed to ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving, cashiering, and food safety protocols is advantageous.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations.
- Understanding of sanitation standards and proper food handling procedures.
