The Digital Capabilities Manager will be responsible for partnering with Brand, cross-functional, cross-agency, and vendor teams to pull forward the development, execution, and measurement of Digital Shelf strategies and capabilities within the Canadian landscape.
Support in driving tangible business results through outstanding e-retail category and digital shelf execution
Shape digital commerce capabilities and identify new ways of working in partnership with existing and new agencies to bring innovative programs and solutions to Canadian market
Develop and improve Digital Shelf strategy by providing guidelines and insights on search campaign monitoring, optimizations, tactical implementations and feedback on search and keyword strategy for AMS campaigns
Lead sourcing and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date product content, which includes product imagery, basic and enhanced product page content and labelling information utilizing content management platforms (Syndigo, Content 26, Salsify) to maintain and optimize Digital Shelf
Support content syndication for new item listings, product updates across all eRetailer portals: Walmart, Amazon, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, London Drugs, Well.ca, Staples, Costco, etc.
Partner with Brand Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Customer Teams, IT and cross-functional partners to drive the execution of key processes that are dependencies for e-retail content
Ensure all product submissions and updates are approved and go live on e-retailer websites in a timely manner with up-to-date content/images and are also reflected accurately on internal content hub (P360)
Own Digital eCommerce budget tracking, PO submissions and spend activities to contribute to eCommerce targets
Execute Ratings & Reviews program on Amazon and guide support team with sampling submission process
Lead website commerce integration (Where-to-Buy) and build strategies to amplify on social media platforms with support from brand and Channel Advisor
Responsible for connecting with brand and category solutions team to determine variation strategies on Amazon. Ensure accurate submission and implementation
Incorporate insights and trends from the external environment, emerging capabilities and technologies, and customer partnerships
Hold cross-functional teams and vendor partners accountable to standards, using global and regional capabilities for digital shelf development and delivery
Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners (brand, sales) and vendors to ensure that the process to develop and deliver digital shelf content runs effectively and efficiently
Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in Digital Marketing or eCommerce)
Experience and Skills:Required:
Minimum 3 years of forward-thinking experience in eCommerce (search and content marketing a plus) with Digital Marketing background
Direct experience in omni-channel environment and/or eCommerce channels (retail) with strong understanding of the eCommerce drivers – SEO, Content Optimization, digital advertising and social media marketing and web traffic metrics is required
Experience in search optimization and content best practices specific to Canadian eCommerce / retailers (Amazon, Wal-Mart, Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart etc.) is highly preferred.
Ability to work in a startup environment and within a large organization with a passion for both speed and simplicity is required
Expertise in the digital ecosystem and relation to the consumer path-to-purchase journey is required
Ability to operate autonomously and actively develop innovative ideas and solutions
Ability to synthesize data across multiple sources, translate into opportunities, and simplify to share across various teams
Experience collaborating, and influencing cross-functional teams
Detailed, bottom-up delivery-focus attitude with strong project management skills
Subject matter expertise in digital & social marketing, media critical metrics & ad tech is an asset
Track record of consumer-centric thinking
Omnichannel experience is preferred
Working knowledge of CLAVIS framework and SCANR model or similar is preferred
Experience working with consumer-packaged goods is preferred
