Mecademic develops compact, precise, and innovative robotic automation solutions for the electronics and life sciences sectors. Our ultra-compact robotic arms are used worldwide by OEMs, system integrators, and end-users for tasks requiring precision and reliability in automation.
Your Role
As part of the R&D Quality team, you'll drive the reliability and compliance of our electronic systems. Your day-to-day will combine technical analysis of customer returns (RMA) with hands-on support for engineering projects (prototyping, testing, and design tweaks.
Your Main Responsibilities
Customer Support & RMA Component:
Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and identify root causes of failures on robots returned by customers, and propose corrective actions.
Maintenance & Repair: Perform precision electronic repairs (rework) and conduct preventive maintenance on the robots.
Testing: Run functional test benches to validate products prior to redelivery to customers.
Documentation: Write technical investigation reports and update manufacturing files/documentation.
R&D Component:
Sustaining Engineering: Support the R&D team in implementing engineering changes (ECOs) on existing products.
Prototyping: Assemble test setups, perform precision wiring, and handle component soldering.
Testing & Measurement: Conduct functional testing on prototypes (validating signals, power, and communications).
Design: Assist the team with schematic capture and PCB routing using Altium.
Job Conditions
Full-time position (40h/week) to be filled as soon as possible at our site located at 1300, rue St-Patrick, Montreal, QC (moving to our new modern premises in Brossard in 2027).
Compensation based on profile and experience.
Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).
