Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Full Time Pastry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods, decorating cakes, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and other desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using various cake decorating techniques
- Manage food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes with attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and uphold customer satisfaction
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Experience working in the food industry with an emphasis on bakery or pastry production is preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and pastry work
- Excellent customer service skills are a plus for roles involving direct interaction with clients or event setups
