Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, food safety, and supporting culinary operations. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required; we value a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces
- Support food preparation activities by organizing ingredients and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Help with serving food to guests when necessary
- Restock supplies and assist in organizing the kitchen for optimal workflow
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and basic kitchen procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
- A positive attitude and eagerness to support the culinary team in delivering excellent service
Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
