Our client in the Etobicoke area (Dixon and Hwy427) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Assembler/Fabricator to join their team.
Shift: Monday to Friday from 8am-4:00pm
Pay: $20-22/hr
The company manufactures aluminum racks used to support electrical components inside control cabinets for automated machinery. They design, cut and assemble these aluminum frames on site.
Duties include:
Read and understand manufacturing layouts
Collect materials from the bill of materials (BOM) and cut them to length according to the layout using a semi-automated saw
Punch and machine the aluminum racks
Cut plastic parts
Assemble aluminum frames using the prepared parts in accordance with the manufacturing layout
Package the finished products
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail
Experience reading mechanical drawings
Experience in mechanical assembly
Ability to work in millimeters
Ability to perform basic math (e.g., determining how many pieces of a given length can be cut from a full bar)
Ability to work autonomously and maintain a good work pace
Speak and read English fluently
Be able to lift 50lbs
