Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with the ability to handle heavy loads and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport products to clients and distribution centers
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of heavy items
- Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments before departure
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- Assist with moving goods within warehouses or storage facilities as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of delivery vehicles
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during transportation and loading activities
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably in warehouse or logistics environments
- Experience operating a 26' automatic truck with tailgate
- Skilled in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience with warehouse operations or logistics is highly desirable
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to moving goods and operating warehouse machinery
