The Role:
We’re searching for a driven individual who can help us manage and streamline daily operations to ensure efficiency across all departments. The Director of Operations should be comfortable communicating with people throughout the organization, able to solve problems and improvise as needed, and adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail.
The Director of Operations will work closely with the COO and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, leading execution of the corporate strategy, and ensuring the effective execution of team goals. The Director of Operations will also lead operational execution around various other aspects of the business including facilities planning, equipment purchasing, manufacturing ramp-up, and company administration.
Your Day-to-Day at Solace Power:
General:
- Monitor and guide day-to-day operations and recommend actionable improvements when necessary.
- Communicate and coordinate with employees and teams (including executive team) and have a clear vision as to how to drive organizational objectives forward.
- Onboard new employees to ensure that they understand the mission and vision of our organization and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Participate in multi-quarter planning and coordinate with accounting and finance departments to adhere to budgets and revise forecasting.
Strategic Leadership:
- Participate in the development and implementation of corporate strategies and initiatives.
- Facilitate meetings and other strategic sessions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and achieve company goals.
Operational Management:
- Oversee facilities planning and ensure optimal use of company resources.
- Manage the procurement of equipment necessary for company operations.
- Coordinate manufacturing ramp-up and ensure efficient production processes.
- Supervise company administration functions, including office management and
administrative support.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to the operations team.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Support team members' professional development and growth.
Performance Monitoring:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that core operational functions achieve their business objectives.
- Develop and implement performance metrics to track operational efficiency.
- Analyze operational data and make informed decisions to improve processes.
- Report regularly on operational performance to the COO and other senior leaders.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in an operations leadership role, preferably within the tech industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in operations management software and tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

- International business experience in multiple jurisdictions.
