OVERVIEW
The Team Lead, Fleet Operations, is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the Client Service team. This role ensures service standards are met, workloads are balanced, and client requests are handled accurately and efficiently.
Working closely with Account Managers, clients, vendors, dealerships, and internal teams, the Team Lead provides operational guidance, supports issue resolution, oversees service delivery, and helps team members develop. The successful candidate will promote accountability, continuous improvement, and consistent client experience while ensuring operational objectives are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to the Client Service team.
- Monitor workloads and prioritize activities to ensure service levels and deadlines are achieved.
- Conduct regular coaching and performance discussions with team members.
- Support onboarding and training of new employees.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex client, vendor, or operational issues.
- Client & Operational Management
- Partner with Account Managers to ensure a high standard of client service and operational execution.
- Oversee vehicle lifecycle activities, including ordering, delivery, transfers, registrations, titling, and disposals.
- Monitor vehicle order pipelines and proactively identify risks, delays, and service concerns.
- Ensure timely and accurate resolution of issues related to logistics, registration, billing, vendor performance, and vehicle delivery.
- Support client escalations and help manage expectations through effective communication and follow-up.
- Oversee multi-jurisdictional registration and titling activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Review team output to ensure data integrity and adherence to established processes.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports and service metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- At least five years of experience in client service, operations, fleet management, logistics, automotive, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory, team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience supporting B2B clients is required.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM system is an asset.
- Automotive or fleet management experience is strongly preferred.
- Post-secondary education in business, operations, or a related field is an asset.
