We're on the lookout for a skilled Civil Technologist to bolster our esteemed Field Services Team. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this opportunity could be your perfect match.
Responsibilities:
As part of our team, you'll take charge of various tasks, including:
- Logging test holes, conducting cone penetration tests, and overseeing geotechnical, geoenvironmental, and hydrogeological investigations.
- Performing laboratory and field tests on soils, aggregates, and concrete.
- Conducting project construction inspections.
- Assisting in the installation of water wells, groundwater monitoring, pump testing, and water sampling.
- Supervising and inspecting pile installation activities.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Possession of a Civil Engineering Technology diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute (an A.Sc.T. designation would be advantageous).
- Holding a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various out-of-town project sites.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Positive attitude and adaptability to work effectively in a team amidst changing circumstances.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
