Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing an outstanding dining experience that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat business. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with a strong understanding of POS systems such as hippos POS. The Server will play a key role in maintaining efficient restaurant operations through excellent time management and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food industry knowledge including serving, upselling, and guest services is desirable
