Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, and ensuring smooth cashier operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other menu items according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, efficiently and accurately for order processing and payments
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed to support team operations
- Manage customer orders efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Follow food safety protocols and handle food items responsibly
Skills
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly desirable
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for quick and accurate transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and basic math for cashiering tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food preparation and serving preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper hygiene standards
