Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a full-time Terminal Supervisor at our Grand Falls, New Brunswick location. The successful candidate will use dynamic problem-solving, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude to supervise the daily operations of our Grand Falls Terminal.
The Terminal Supervisor is responsible for operational areas to ensure efficiency, on-time delivery, and safety goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to watch for/address any safety concerns
- Ensure KPI screens are read and itemize freight
- Effective communication with Management, Dispatch & Staff, and able to assign work
- Ensure proper equipment is utilized for outbound lanes, and facilitate units for loading/unloading
- Ensure all dedicated LTL deliver & straight trucks are loaded for early am cutoff time
- Ensure expectations are met to attain Reweigh & Cube goals
- Attend any planned meetings and respond to correspondence & voice mails within agreed timelines
Technical Skills
- Computer literacy and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office are required.
- Experience and understanding of the TruckMate system are considered an asset.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, Monday - Friday 6am start
Qualifications
- A Willingness to Work! Dependability & a Good Attitude are key
- Reliable Transportation - must live in the Fredericotn area
- Excellent Communication skills & Attention to Detail
- Ability to use scanners, paperwork where required
- Ability to work Safely in a fast-paced team environment
- Attend Training sessions as required, i.e. Dangerous Goods, Forklift
- Warehouse conditions: possible high noise levels, warm or cold environment (dependent on weather)
- Safety boots/shoes
- Clean criminal background
- Willing to provide references
