Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for construction projects by implementing the Company’s OH&S management system.
Responsible for the quality assurance and quality control activities on different project sites.
Create accurate forecasts of financial status for assigned project(s).
Maintain and manage plans, specifications, cost, and material estimates, subcontract and related reports.
Mobilize and direct the resources assigned in order to achieve maximum contribution to fixed costs and profits.
Maintain overall inventory control of all materials, plants and equipment assigned to the project.
Establish and monitor construction work schedules including labor, subcontractors, materials and related equipment.
Allocate work to and supervise the activities of the project(s).
Coordinate the administration of contract(s).
Coordinate proper procurement of construction materials ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of purchase orders.
Manage change order processes, including pricing, negotiating, processing and assessing cost and schedule impact.
Coordinate and lead site meetings.
Maintain and promote excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and public.
Delegate but still maintain overall responsibilities and accountability of the project(s).
Lead team to promote positive work environment.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objectives.
Focused on details, highly organized and works effectively with shifting priorities and rapid change.
Effectively examines events, issues and problems to generate optimal solutions in a timely manner.
Communicates with impact and creates an environment in which people communicate openly and honestly.
Fosters teamwork and cooperation with a strong ability to work with a highly functional team of experts.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project).
Civil or Structural Engineering degree or diploma.
5+ years’ of experience within a similar role/industry.
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
Eng or E.I.T working towards P.Eng.
Experience working with MTO is an asset.
