Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to support daily agricultural operations on our farm. The ideal candidate will assist with planting, harvesting, maintenance, and general farm tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of farm activities. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the production of high-quality crops and livestock support.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and equipment
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems, machinery, and farm infrastructure
- Use hand tools for various tasks such as pruning, repairing fences, or installing equipment
- Support with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested produce as needed
- Monitor crop health and report any issues related to pests or disease
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to environmental guidelines during all farm activities
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and farm maintenance practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and power tools is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Experience with hand tools and general maintenance tasks is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working on a farm or in agriculture is a plus but not mandatory
