Job Description
We are currently hiring Pipe Layers and Pipe Layer Helpers for sewer and watermain construction projects in the Ottawa area.
Successful candidates will work as part of a crew installing sanitary, storm, and watermain systems on municipal infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Install sanitary, storm, and watermain piping
- Set pipe to grade using laser and elevations
- Perform bedding, backfilling, and compaction
- Assist with pipe alignment, connections, and tie-ins
- Work with operators and foremen to maintain production
- Maintain a safe and organized job site
Requirements
Pipe Layer:
- Previous experience in sewer and watermain installation
- Ability to read grades and work with a laser
- Strong understanding of proper installation practices
Pipe Layer Helper:
- Construction experience is an asset
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Reliable and punctual
Compensation
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Overtime available
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturdays as required
