Mission Carrier, an asset-based cross-border refrigerated and dry van carrier, is hiring a reliable Shunt Truck Driver to move trailers around our Dorval yard. If you take pride in keeping a yard organized and running on time, we want to hear from you.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
What you'll do:
- Move and spot trailers between docks, yard slots, and staging areas
- Hook and unhook trailers, connect air lines and check loads are secure
- Keep the yard organized and trailers positioned for on-time dispatch
- Do basic pre-trip checks on the shunt truck and report any issues
- Communicate with dispatch and dock staff throughout the shift
What we're looking for:
- Valid Class 1 (or Class 3 with shunt experience - we'll discuss)
- Experience operating a shunt/yard truck an asset, but we'll train the right person
- Comfortable hooking and unhooking trailers in all weather
- Clean driving record and dependable attendance
- Able to work efficiently in a busy yard
