Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring smooth operation during meal service. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Handle food safely by following proper sanitation and hygiene protocols
- Serve food to customers or assist in plating dishes for presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to uphold health standards
- Support meal preparation during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic cooking and food preparation tasks
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Basic understanding of the food industry practices is a plus
