Details: Condor Lodge is a Transitional Program supporting a 5 bed co-ed youth home, ages 12-17 with mental health disorders and some complex behaviours; supporting from a strength based/solution focused perspective, in a home in the community. You will be directly involved in teaching, supporting and mentoring youth to develop skills and abilities.
Due to the needs of the individuals, the successful candidate must be female.
Hours: Sunday to Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am, 40 awake hours per week

In your role you will:
¨ Connect with and develop helping relationships with youth
¨ Support and offer guidance to youth
¨ Supervise youth in the home
¨ Complete documentation
¨ Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home
¨ Participate in on-going program development
As one of the ideal candidates, you possess:
¨ Partial completion of a Degree/Diploma in Human Services
¨ Six (6) months of directly related experience in youth/family work
¨ Equivalencies may be considered
¨ Standard First Aid-Level C CPR + AED
¨ Police Information Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
¨ Children Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)
¨ Valid Class 5 drivers license and current drivers abstract are required, having a reliable vehicle and auto insurance are an asset
¨ CARE (Children And Residential Experiences) training
¨ Harm reduction knowledge is an asset
¨ Strong relationship building skills and de-escalation techniques
¨ Desire to see youth succeed
Starting Rate of Pay: $24.65-$27.74 per hour; depending on experience and education
