Job description:
Top Roof and Exteriors Inc. is hiring a Repair Technician for our residential division. We're looking for a versatile, skilled tradesperson who can handle the full range of exterior systems we install and service. If you're someone who can diagnose a problem, come up with a solution, communicate it clearly to the client, and get it done right — we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and installations across all exterior systems: shingle roofing, siding, fascia, soffits, cladding, flashing, caulking, and trim
- Conduct thorough site inspections to identify issues and damage
- Diagnose problems accurately and develop practical repair solutions
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and work progress clearly to clients in a professional manner
- Report back to the Repair & Maintenance Manager with updates, findings, and material usage
- Manage your own daily schedule, materials, and tools efficiently
- Complete work orders accurately and on schedule
- Work independently on service calls and small projects
- Follow all health and safety protocols on site
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in roofing, siding, or general exterior work
- Broad knowledge of exterior systems (roofing, siding, fascia, soffits, cladding, etc.)
- Strong diagnostic skills — able to identify root causes and propose solutions
- Excellent communication skills — comfortable speaking with clients directly and reporting to management
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working at heights
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Professional attitude and strong customer service mindset
- Versatile, resourceful, and willing to take on whatever the job requires
