Reports To: Manager/Supervisor, Laundry
Job Type: Casual or Part-time (Open to flexible hours)
Job Summary:
Laundry Maintenance, under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor, is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for Goodfish Lake Laundry Limited Partnership. The incumbent completes daily preventative maintenance on the mechanical operating systems found within Goodfish Lake Laundry Limited
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
· Ensure that cooling fans are on and working properly.
· Do circle check on equipment to check for leaks, lockouts and notes.
· Complete daily logbooks at the end of every shift.
· Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
· Set priorities for preventive maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and schedule work.
· Maintain adequate supplies for the maintenance department.
· perform regular workplace inspections to determine areas that need maintenance or repairs.
· Ensure that any required maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
· Perform basic maintenance and repairs on the various mechanical operating systems.
· Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures
- Notify the Manager or Supervisor of any machine malfunctions or breakdowns.
· Maintain records of the scheduled maintenance procedures

Job Duties:
- Launder items while ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met.
- Detect equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments within capabilities.
- Follow manufacturing and processing procedures and set machine controls accordingly.
- Monitor machines closely for any signs of problems and communicate with management when issues arise.
- Participate in team discussions and coordinate with other team members to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as required.
- Operate Forklift (Forklift Ticket Required).
- Maintain and clean linen traps on equipment.
- Refill chemical containers as needed.
- Clean out washer drains regularly.
- Assist with building lockup procedures.
- Operate washing and drying equipment to launder comforters, linen, pillowcases, fleece, coveralls and other items for clients.
- Operate the ironer and wrapper, ensuring proper operation.
- Examine items for damages and document damaged items.
- Sort, fold, package and label laundered items according to client specifications.
- Ensure the proper operation and safety checks of laundry equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members and assist with additional tasks when needed.
Other Duties:
- Clean bathrooms, kitchen, and front areas.
- Sweep and mop designated areas.
- Take out the garbage and cardboard.
- Wash and dry rags, broom/mop heads.
- Assist customers with coverall pickup or drop-off when needed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy supply room.
Requirements
· 3 years of related experience is an asset.
· Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy laundry items.
- Basic knowledge of laundry machines and their operation.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
· Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment while performing duties.

Pay: From $17.55 per hour
