Position: Full Time Security Team Lead
Site: Seneca Polytechnic - York Campus
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Continental Rotation12 Hours - 0630-1830/1830-0630
Pay Rate: $22.00-23.50/ an hour

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate Security Guard activities in academic buildings, residence, and event spaces

Cross-campus learning and collaboration with York U partners

Assign and monitor patrols, access control, and incident response

Foster cross-functional teamwork with York Security and campus partners

Lead incident investigations and ensure timely, accurate reporting

Provide frontline support during special events, guest speakers, and high-profile campus activities

Mentor new staff and deliver in-service training

Ensure adherence to Seneca and York U security policies

Support a welcoming and inclusive team culture

Qualifications
-
Legally Authorized to Work in Canada
-
Ontario Security Guard License
-
WSIB Approved Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
-
Strong communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude

Ability to handle fast-paced, diverse campus demands
-
Prior post-secondary or healthcare security experience an asset
-
Bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus

Must not be a current Seneca student at York

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
