The Jr. Technician/Shop Hand is focused on providing a broad range of assistance to the more senior mechanic staff in the Red Deer Branch and will learn the hydraulics specialty from the ground up with a large variety of mechanical challenges and opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Shop Helper
- Perform various mechanical tasks in the shop including working on hydraulic valves, motors and cylinders under the guidance of the more senior mechanics
- Keep shop and yard tidy and organized
- Pickup and delivery of parts as required
- Weight handling up to 50lbs (23kg)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, previous work in an industrial mechanical environment is an asset
- Valid Class 5 drivers license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Organized with an ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, with an ability to work both quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills
Working Conditions Office environment attached to an industrial Service Shop facility.
