Responsibilities
- Performs a wide variety of duties on various machinery throughout the plant (i.e. CNC Machines, 5-Axis Laser Cutting Systems, Flow Forming Machines, Brake Press, Rolling Machines, Automatic Weld Cells)
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) ensuring process and quality standards are met.
- Conducts first off / last off inspections in accordance with customer specified standards.
- Assist primary operator in loading blanks on machinery
- Runs product through machinery which may include deburring, grinding/filing, cleaning, and/or packaging each product as needed.
- Record necessary information for material tracking, quality verification, and production reporting, including Production Report Logs, Production Lot Tracking, and ICS Sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of product to be shipped using strapping machine and label product using the proper shipping labels
- Performs general maintenance and mechanical changes of equipment with assistance under direct supervision.
- Ensure that all appropriate personal protective equipment is always being warn while on the shop floor
- Use various pneumatic or electrical tools such as grinders, belt sanders etc. in a safe and proper manner
- Other duties and responsibilities to be assigned as needed.
- Must communicate any machine or part quality issues or concerns to the Production Manger/Supervisor
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Machine Operator in an Automotive or Metal Manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English, through both verbal and written means.
- Working understanding of GD&T Drawings / Blueprints is an asset
- Quality oriented, with a strong attention to accuracy required.
- Team oriented, with the ability to work autonomously.
- Detailed oriented with strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Fast Paced manufacturing shop floor environment involves frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and balancing.
- Process is repetitive in nature and involves postures including forward reaching, tight gripping, some climbing and squatting.
- Frequently lifts, carries, or balances up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
