EXP is recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, Infrastructure to join our Mechanical/Electrical Infrastructure team in our Sudbury, ON, office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Produce design packages including schematic diagrams, Instrumentation drawings and diagrams, electrical distribution, floor plans, Exterior and Interior Lighting design, equipment room layouts and schedules.
- Prepare concept reports, meeting minutes, specification and contract administration documents.
- Conduct site survey for existing conditions when required.
- Carry the electrical calculation as required for the systems.
- Obtain information on equipment from suppliers and select equipment with input from senior designers.
- Attend site meetings during construction with a senior staff member.
- Contribute to all aspects of system level design and assist with other general tasks when needed.
Assist with electrical pricing and complete detailed technical writing for proposed upcoming jobs.

What your experience looks like
- Registered as an Engineer-In-Training with PEO.
- 3-7 years of experience, with a preferred focus infrastructure consulting engineering.
- Possesses outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
What will put you ahead
- P.Eng
- 8-10 years of experience, with a preferred focus infrastructure consulting engineering.
- Skilled in AutoCAD with a strong desire to acquire REVIT proficiency.
- Knowledge of Programming and instrumentation design.
- Knowledge of Wastewater and Water treatment facilities.
- Knowledgeable in using photometric calculation software such as Agi32, Visual, and well versed in performing short circuit calculations using industry-accepted software such as SKM, ETAP would be preferred.
