The Centre for Autism Services Alberta (CFASA) is seeking an experienced Employment Program Coordinator to lead our Employment Program.
This is a full-time permanent position working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will lead a team of Employment Coaches, oversee participant intake and employment planning, develop community and business partnerships, and ensure the successful delivery and continuous improvement of the Employment Program.

About the Role
The Employment Program Coordinator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and ongoing success of CFASA's Employment Program. This role oversees program operations, supervises Employment Coaches, conducts participant screening and intake, develops business and community partnerships, and works collaboratively with employers to increase meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Reporting to the Director of Adult Professional and Community Services, you'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred employment services while fostering strong community relationships and supporting a team committed to making a difference.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the Employment Program
- Coordinate all aspects of the Employment Program to ensure program goals and contract requirements are achieved.
- Lead participant screening, assessments, and intake, identifying strengths, employment readiness, and individualized employment goals.
- Collaborate with the Director of Adult Professional and Community Services on program implementation, evaluation, quality improvement, and ongoing program development.
- Monitor program outcomes and ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and documentation.
- Utilize client management systems to monitor key deliverables and performance metrics.
Build Community & Employer Partnerships
- Serve as the primary representative of the Employment Program within the community.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with employers, businesses, and community organizations.
- Promote inclusive employment practices through education, disability awareness, and workplace consultation.
- Collaborate with participants, families, employers, and community partners to support successful employment outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to expand employment pathways and strengthen community capacity.
Lead and Support Your Team
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to Employment Coaches.
- Train and orient new team members.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development.
- Address performance concerns in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing team culture.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for an experienced leader who combines a passion for disability inclusion with strong program management and relationship-building skills.
You will have:
- An undergraduate degree, preferably in disability services, education, human services, rehabilitation, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles.
- A minimum of three years of experience working in employment services supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Previous experience supervising, coaching, mentoring, or leading staff.
- Experience developing partnerships with employers, businesses, or community organizations.
- Strong understanding of vocational development and employment supports.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and client management systems.
- Familiarity with virtual platforms and online employment resources.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, manage competing priorities, and respond effectively in changing situations.
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
- Valid Standard First Aid with Level C CPR & AED certification (or the ability to obtain it).
