Peer Connections Manitoba (PCM) is seeking a Director of Education to lead and grow our education initiatives across Manitoba. This is a senior leadership role for someone who is both strategic and hands-on, who can build, innovate, and collaborate to strengthen community-based mental health education grounded in peer support values.
About the Role
As Director of Education, you will provide leadership and vision for PCM’s education portfolio. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to shape strategic priorities, grow programming, and expand PCM’s role as a leader in peer-informed mental health education.
This role blends strategy, program development, partnership-building, and team leadership, with space to innovate and bring new ideas to life.

Position Details
- Located at: 100-4 Fort Street, Winnipeg, MB
- Starting salary: $65,000.00 per year
- Full-Time (35 hours/week), Permanent
Who we’re Looking For
- Has lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges (as an individual or family member)
- Is committed to peer leadership, co-production, and recovery-oriented practice
- Centers cultural safety, particularly for Indigenous, racialized, and marginalized communities
- Brings a values-based approach to decision-making, collaboration, and leadership
- Experience in leadership, program development, and team supervision
- Strong understanding of mental health, recovery, and peer-informed approaches
- Experience designing or delivering workshops or educational programs
- Excellent relationship-building, facilitation, and communication skills
- Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
Position Duties
- Lead the development and growth of PCM’s education programs and workshops
- Co-create programming with people with lived experience
- Bring innovation to how mental health education is designed and delivered
- Grow and evolve a mental health education resource centre model in Manitoba
- Build partnerships with libraries, schools, and community organizations
- Supervise and support education staff and/or volunteers
- Collaborate across departments, especially with Peer Services and Development
- Contribute to budget planning and explore new opportunities for sustainable growth
- Help shape both in-person and online learning experiences
