Mara Home and Health Services is currently looking for a foot care nurse dedicated to providing quality care. This position is open for contract position;
Eligible applicants must have the following professional credentials:
- LPN certification
- Advanced Foot Care Certification
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of conditions affecting foot health, including diabetes
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening Required experience:
- Class 5 drivers license; Must have own vehicle
- Recent Criminal Record Check or willingness to provide
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, care and advice for clients;
- Care includes clipping nails, treating corns, calluses, ingrown nails and thickened nails;
- Clients include the elderly diabetes and other health issues; Suggest and provide preventative care plans
- Educating the patient, the patient’s family, and any other support persons on care techniques
- Provide assessment, care and advice for clients
- Suggest and implement preventative care plans
- Responsibility, time management and trustworthiness
- Complete accurate documentation concerning client condition
- All safety rules and safe work procedures are adhered to at all times
- Documentation regarding client activities, progress, and treatment plans
- Adhere to the policies to ensure client/family privacy and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, compassion, caring
- Treat clients, team members and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
- Demonstrated ability to develop rapport, trust, and ethical relationships with clients/families, client care providers and other health care professionals and providers
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills
- Reliable, with good time management skills
Pay:
Contract rate of $50 - $55 per hour (Rates based on experience)
