Job Summary
We are seeking a 25 year old or over, reliable and motivated Building Supply Delivery Driver/Yard Worker to join our team. This role involves safely delivering building materials to various job sites and assisting with yard work. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with warehouse or commercial driving, and the physical ability to handle heavy loads. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in logistics, customer service, and construction supply management.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery trucks to transport building supplies to designated locations
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual handling techniques
- Assist customers with loading supplies into their vehicles, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Yard operations including organizing materials, moving inventory, and maintaining safety standards
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of building materials as needed
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard area
- Follow all safety protocols during driving, loading, and yard activities
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with relevant driving experience preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
- Prior warehouse or construction supply experience is advantageous
- Excellent moving skills for handling large or bulky items safely
- Good communication skills for coordinating deliveries and interacting with customers
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety, punctuality, and teamwork
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
