WKG Electric is hiring Journeyman Electricians and Apprentices to join our growing team.
We are an Edmonton-based electrical contractor with three growing divisions:
- New Residential Construction
- Electrical Service
- Shallow Utilities
We work with some of Edmonton’s largest homebuilders and continue to expand our operations throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities.
We’re looking for skilled, reliable people who want great pay, steady work and an opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing company.
Compensation
Journeyman Electricians: $40–$50/hour, based on experience, skill level and ability.
Apprentices: Competitive hourly wages based on apprenticeship year and experience.
These are hourly positions — not piecework or performance-based pay.
We’re willing to pay at the top end of the range for experienced electricians who can work independently, lead jobs and consistently produce high-quality work.

Who We’re Looking For
Journeyman Electricians
- Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification
- Residential and/or service experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications
- Clean, professional workmanship
- Ability to lead and mentor apprentices is an asset
Apprentices
- Registered electrical apprentices of all levels are encouraged to apply
- Residential or construction electrical experience is an asset
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills
- Reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to quality and safety
