What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a Trade Officer to support with passion to deliver and exceed expectations. In this role you will be dealing with end to end processing of all Import and Exports Documents Verification responsibilities. There are many components which require you to be flexible and meet tight deadlines. Additionally, you will engage with clients through fax and email to follow up on documentations required. We will definitely help you succeed!
What will you do?
Responsible to perform Import/ Export Documents and Standby Letters of Credit verification responsibilities.
Manage internal and external client relationships from a service perspective, including direct client interactions where appropriate.
Continuously review work flow, work load & volumes, ensure all incoming work is process timely and attend to daily WIP reports to avoid any unattended items, and proactively manage escalated items to satisfactory resolution
Provide consistent service within established Client Service Commitments/Service Partner Commitments and seeks to improve the quality, timeliness and consistency of responses to clients
Liaise with business partners, resolve of inquiries and escalations.
Exercise diligence in complying with operational risk policies and guidelines.
What do you need to succeed?
Proven customer service skills, as well as a track record of success in a client-focused environment
1-2 years of International trade finance operations experience specifically in Import/Export Documents verification role within a financial institution
Knowledge of trade finance transactions, and compliance regulations procedures
Working knowledge of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits & Collections, URC522, UCP600, ISBP, the Bills of Exchange Act, SWIFT procedures and other applicable trade finance rules and regulations.
Knowledge of trade finance products
Certified Document Credit Specialist (CDCS) and/or FITT Diploma
Processing experience with trade 360 system is considered a strong asset
French Language skills
