We are seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator with mechanical aptitude and experience in manufacturing to join us in our fast-paced, team oriented work environment.
Overview
The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of production equipment to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role requires strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining equipment, minimizing downtime, and ensuring continuous flow of production. The operator will work as part of a team, supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives, while maintaining professionalism, respect, and cooperation on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and maintain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings when working around moving parts and machinery.
- Ensure equipment is shut down and locked out according to procedures during maintenance.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Operate production machinery according to established SOPs for startup, operation, and shutdown.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to keep machines in good working condition.
- Promptly report mechanical or operational issues to maintenance or supervision.
Production & Quality
- Monitor and record line speed and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficiency.
- Record production data, downtime incidents, and other performance metrics accurately.
- Follow all quality standards to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Support Lean manufacturing principles by minimizing waste, optimizing flow, and maximizing uptime.
Teamwork & Conduct
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work assigned shifts.
- Work respectfully and cooperatively with team members and supervisors.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency to maintain line efficiency and throughput.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Forklift certification required.
- Lean manufacturing training.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout shifts.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Physically fit to perform repetitive movements and operate heavy machinery.
- Comfortable working in environments with noise, moving parts, paint/mess, and other production-related conditions.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position; shifts may include mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends as required.
- Work performed in a production environment around moving equipment and materials.
- Environment can be loud and may involve exposure to paint, dust, and other manufacturing by-products.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and maintained in good condition at all times in designated areas.
Pay: $23.50-$25.00 per hour
