We are a food manufacturing company looking for a reliable and detail-oriented person to join our production team on a part-time basis.
This position has two main responsibilities: customer-order packaging during the week and high-volume chickpea cooking on Saturdays.
Schedule
Tuesday–Thursday: Approximately 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
There is some flexibility with the hours.
Saturday: Approximately 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
Tuesday–Thursday – Packaging
- Prepare and package products according to customer orders.
- Carefully check quantities, labels, and product details to ensure orders are accurate.
- Organize and prepare completed orders for delivery or pickup.
- Work in a refrigerated/walking cooler for portions of the shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
Saturday – Food Production
- Cook chickpeas in large quantities according to our production process.
- Monitor cooking and ensure products are prepared consistently.
- Assist with other food production and cleaning tasks as needed.
- Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when preparing customer orders.
- Comfortable working in a walk-in cooler/refrigerated environment.
- Comfortable working in a hot kitchen/production environment on Saturdays.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical work.
- Comfortable handling food and following food safety procedures.
- Previous food production, kitchen, packaging, or warehouse experience is an asset but not required.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
