Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, this individual will play a strategic role in advising senior leadership and the various functions across the organization. The mandate will be to advise the organization on business decisions, protect its interests, and build a modern, agile, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented legal function.

As Director of Legal Affairs , you will be responsible for :
Progressively defining the priorities, processes, and service delivery model of the legal function, while ensuring the effective management of external legal partners.
Overseeing the drafting, negotiation, and review of commercial agreements and supporting expansion projects, strategic partnerships, and digital initiatives.
Advising the organization on legal matters related to areas such as commercial real estate, technology, e-commerce, labour law, and financial activities.
Supporting the organization in matters related to compliance, privacy and data protection, consumer law, and regulatory requirements applicable to products and the supply chain.
You are recognized for your ability to quickly grasp business challenges, cut through complexity, and turn sound legal judgment into pragmatic solutions and decisive action that move the organization forward.
Strong knowledge across several areas relevant to Simons’ activities, including retail, commercial real estate, technology, e-commerce, privacy and data protection, consumer law, marketing, and employment law.
