Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Crew Lead / Foreman to join our team. This is a working leadership role — the successful candidate will lead and coordinate the crew while actively participating in daily concrete operations on site. This position is ideal for someone who can set the pace for the crew, maintain quality and productivity standards, and lead by example through hands-on work.
Our company specializes in exterior improvement and site construction projects, delivering high-quality concrete work across a wide range of applications including flatwork, paving, curbs, retaining and site walls, ramps, stairs, and other exterior concrete installations. The Concrete Crew Lead / Foreman will play a key role in delivering these projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and work alongside concrete crews on active job sites
- Coordinate daily tasks and assign work to crew members based on project requirements
- Perform hands-on concrete work including forming, placing, finishing, grading, and general labour as required
- Execute exterior concrete projects including flatwork, paving, curbs, walls, ramps, stairs, and related site improvements
- Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and project specifications
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule
- Monitor workmanship and maintain quality control throughout all phases of work
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment usage, and site logistics
- Communicate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and clients when required
- Train and mentor crew members to improve productivity and workmanship
- Enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean, organized worksite
- Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimize delays
- Complete daily reporting and communicate progress to management
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5+ years of concrete construction experience, including leadership or foreman responsibilities
- Strong hands-on experience with forming, placing, finishing, and exterior concrete construction
- Experience completing projects such as flatwork, curbs, paving, walls, ramps, and stairs preferred
- Ability to lead crews while remaining actively involved in field work
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Experience operating construction equipment is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and procedures
- Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in outdoor conditions
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Experience:
- Concrete finishing: 2 years (required)
- Concrete forming: 2 years (required)
