AUTOMOTIVE GLASS TECHNICIAN /SHOP MAINTENANCE
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Track the vehicle throughout the repair process
Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
Calibration of the windshield camera according to the supplier’s specifications
Remove and Install auto parts.
Assist part coordinator, body and paint technicians as requested.
Account for time spent on each job each day by recording it on a labor control or time card.
Operating buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.
Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles.
Performing inspections and keeping complete, accurate records of the vehicle’s condition.
Moving and parking vehicles, delivering vehicles to correct locations or picking owners or drivers up if needed.
Managing inventory and reordering supplies.
Maintain a Clean Work area
Requirements
Some Experience necessary
A mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in working on vehicles
Computer literacy is a must
Adhering to company Health and Safety procedures using the safety equipment provided
Direct experience in the automotive glass repair and replacement industry would be an asset
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
10-Key and/or Alpha-Numeric data entry skills and be able to utilize a computer for parts entry and linking of parts numbers in the accounting system
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Valid G driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
