Would you like in on a $5000 signing bonus? We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our industrial maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment used in manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance within our facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and analysis skills
- Repair or replace defective components such as motors, pumps, belts, and valves
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Low Voltage systems for troubleshooting and repairs
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs
- Conduct welding, HVAC repairs, boiler maintenance, and other specialized tasks as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during maintenance procedures
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Schematics, and Electrical systems (including Low Voltage)
- Experience with CMMS for work order management and documentation
- Background in Industrial electrician work, HVAC systems, Boiler operation, Welding, and related trades is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues
- Customer service orientation with effective communication skills in English
- Knowledge of electrical experience related to industrial equipment maintenance
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
