Position: Registered Nurse - 1 Year Full-Time Contract
Pay Rate: $35.00/hour to $45.00/hour

The Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is the primary nursing contact for individuals supported across various community living settings. This role provides direct nursing care, clinical guidance to Direct Support Professionals, and coordination with primary care teams and other health partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and coordinate health care for individuals in supported living environments
- Monitor health status, respond to medical concerns, and manage emergencies
- Administer and oversee medications and controlled acts
- Provide in-person assessments and treatments (e.g., oxygen therapy, G-tube care)
- Coordinate hospital admissions, discharges, and medical appointments
- Review medical reports, labs, and diagnostic results
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and care plans
- Deliver health training and education to staff and community partners
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external health professionals
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, or dual diagnoses
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of controlled acts and experience training unregulated staff
- CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation
Work Conditions
- Mix of office and community-based work
- Travel between multiple sites required
- Flexible hours, including possible evenings and weekends; hours may exceed 40 per week
