At RONA Fort Nelson, we are the go-to spot for local contractors and homeowners. We’re looking for a motivated Sales Associate to join our team, share their building knowledge, and provide excellent customer service to our community.
We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Associate for a fast-paced retail enviroment
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on merchandise, including technology products
- Perform upselling and suggestive selling to enhance customer experience and sales
- Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive and organized presentation of products
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism using proper phone etiquette
- Support store organization through effective time management and organizational skills
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience in retail sales, especially in technology or product sales environments
- Strong communication skills for engaging customers and explaining product features
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and store organization techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Organizational skills for maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor
